The greek language

Greek is an Indo-European language spoken at least from about -2,000. Thus the first texts written in Linear B, the oldest Greek script, date only to -1,400. But alphabetic writing dates back to about -750 and, with slight modifications, is still used by the Greeks of today.

Adopted by the Romans during antiquity, the Greek alphabet derived the Latin alphabet, used today by the great majority of the modern languages of the West. After all the first texts written in Greek used the syllabic writing currently known by Linear B, and only from -750 the Greek alphabet that we know began to be used regularly.
