The polish language
The polish language belongs to the Slavic languages. Slavic languages are divided into Eastern Slavic languages (Russian, Belarusian and Ukrainian). Also in southern Slavic languages (Bulgarian, Macedonian, Slovenian and Serbian-Croatian). And finally the family of Western Slavic languages, which belong to the Slovak, the Czech language as well as the Polish language.
All these languages have their origin in the pre-Slavic, which was spoken until the first centuries of our era. And then it emerged as a separate branch of Indo-European about 5,000 years ago.
The Polish language uses the Latin alphabet – in contrast to a number of other Slavic languages that are written with the Cyrillic alphabet, such as Russian and Ukrainian.
Around the world there are about 45 million people who speak Polish (Język polski). Approximately 37 million people in Poland speak Polish as their mother tongue. There are also about eight million people who do not live in Poland but who speak Polish as their mother tongue or second language.
In Brazil, Curitiba (Polish: Kurytyba) is the second largest city outside Poland with the largest number of Polish residents.
Consecutive Interpretation
In this mode, the interpreter hears what is said, (writes it down), and only then does he verbally translate what had been said. Consecutive interpretation is more commonly used in court (in marriages, for example), meetings, dinners and events with a limited number of participants.
